Today went to the "Russian" store, because got bored with regular North American grocery stores variety. "Russian", this store called because symbolically, seeing most of goods there are not from Russia.
My first purchase of pickled or salted green tomatoes came from Lithuania in a huge jar. Luckily, I have a special place fro it in my fridge. Second item, were a herring fillers in oil, from Lithuania's neighbour Latvia.
And, the last time, from our home and native land, Canada. It is a salmon caviar, salmon roe or Ikura, all of them are just a different name for the same product.
