AppleBeet Pasta Salad

It's hard to believe, but the recipe idea for this fancy dish, came from a box of Barilla Cut Macaroni. While pasta was cooking, I had sauteed apples and cooked beets in olive oil, with addition of balsamic vinegar at the end. Then, added cooked pasta in to the frying pan and let it adsorb all the flavors of saute. To finish the dish, sprinkled some Feta crumbs and garnished it all with curly parsley leaves.

Look what I bought

Made a little shopping trip today, mainly to buy some cherries, which are almost in season right now.
Also, bought 25 50 gram packages of Norwegian smoked salmon, at $1 Canadian per pack. By the way, 50 grams is a perfect portion for a single sandwich.
Plus, got my favorite pasta from Barilla, with recipe ideas on the package. For sure, I will make at least one of those two.

Banana Split Sandwich

I always loved DQ Banana Splits, especially when they cost only $2. So, today's breakfast sandwich was a homage to "those all good days". The ingredients for my Banana Split sandwich were: chocolate crackle vanilla ice cream, bananas, strawberries, chocolate and strawberry syrups. All served on slightly toasted multigrain ciabatta bun.
